Edily Lore Time:
Anyway, my specialty lies within editorial photography, short form concept videos, vlogs, and basic digitals. My work and art extends into film simulation pieces, which blend my love for old-school aesthetics with modern equipment to 4k commercial work for businesses that need an aesthetic makeover. Whether I’m capturing the perfect still shot or planning a music video I have experience and the drive to do it all!
Art has been part of my life since childhood, my dad studied as a graphic designer and my mom exposed me to the fine arts growing up going to museums and adoring the pieces on the wall. My early fascination with drawing and creating has naturally started as a little kid and evolved over time. During the pandemic, I discovered a love for digital art. Being at home with a new found freedom to explore I really tuned into the art world and seeing more condensed versions of the illustrators that I adored I knew I wanted to join that path.
But with any path there’s always a fork in the road, and the path I took wound up being Photography and videography, particularly portraits. I found myself having a merge in my artistic interests combining illustration with these new forms of art, making my products even more unique and made me appreciate the world of art even more. Although I now work with cameras and videos, illustration remains the foundation of my creative expression and I would love to move forward with it in my other content!
As a full-time student and a working artist, I balance my academic responsibilities with my creative projects. I’m currently building my portfolio by collaborating with a variety of clients, working on editorial shoots, and producing short videos. Each project gives me the chance to refine my skills and explore new concepts and continue to always learn. I love the blend of professionalism and creativity that comes with working as a photographer and videographer while practicing academic strength.
With blending my lifestyles I always want to be transparent on the ups and downs on my artistry, and the best way for me to describe it is through vlogging! I’ve spent years studying how to make the perfect vlog and every time I reviewed the last one and current one it was just never right. But that’s now what life is. Imperfection means I am producing engaging vlogs, always pushing the boundaries of storytelling through visual media, and saying yes when I know I’m capable. By the time you see this vlogs should be coming to you soon so stay tight!
I love art, but I love artists even more. I’m eager to build a community around my work, one where creatives can come together to inspire each other. I believe in the power of collective artistic energy and want to foster a supportive environment for those working in various creative industries. Soon enough that dream will become more defined but we’ll have to wait for those details ;P! Right now I’m making community by storytelling! I’m looking to collaborate with a wider range of creatives to expand my portfolio. I’m particularly interested in working with tattoo artists, designers, graphic illustrators, florists, and horticulturists. My aim is to create an intersection of different art forms, where each collaboration tells a unique visual story. I want to tell your story if you believe it’s worth telling but don’t have the tools to do so.
My artistic style is constantly evolving as I’m evolving. From illustration to photography, I’ve experimented with many different forms of media. I gravitate toward warm life moments, to drastic and sharp fashion showcasing to tell stories that connects emotionally with the world. Each project helps me discover something new about myself as an artist. I like to explore how people interact with their environment and themselves. My work often reflects the idea that humans are art, you are art!
